So how did we get our start? It all began when Andy Spivey, an EMT looking for a way to occupy his spare time, started Fire & Safety Outfitters in 2000 with his dad John Spivey. Armed with a 12-foot trailer and a dream, they set out to provide high-quality gear bags. What sets our products apart is that we design them in-house based on the real-life experiences of our employees, many of whom have backgrounds as EMTs and firefighters. We know what works because we've done the job ourselves.
